The Aanischaaukamikw Cree Cultural Institute Board of Directors has been responsible for construction oversight, and manages all aspects of the day-to-day operations. This group has representatives from all nine James Bay Cree communities, headed by an Executive Committee.
The Aanischaaukamikw Foundation is a separate entity, registered with the Canada Revenue Agency. This body is responsible for managing the “Sharing the Ways” fund raising campaign, and for holding and managing the Acquisition and Endowment funds.
The Foundation Board is comprised of Cree and non-native business leaders.
